The names are fixed: a licensee may not rename, abbreviate, or add to them. Every kit is sold by a company licensed by the Department of War, and every tourniquet and hemostatic dressing inside it has been reviewed and accepted by the program.

Where it makes sense

Police and security teams, event venues, transit systems, and anyone who wants one kit that covers everything.

Chest seal use is not taught in the STOP THE BLEED^® class. This kit is intended for organizations whose responders have additional training.

The program decides what goes in the kit, not the seller. A company can pack more of something, and can add trauma shears or a rescue blanket. It cannot leave out a required item, substitute a tourniquet or dressing the program has not accepted, or invent a new kit. If a kit you are offered does not match this table, look more closely.
